Daly's bridge is Cork's only suspension bridge. It is known colloquially as the "Shakey Bridge".
It owes its existance to to the generosity of Cork businessman James Daly, who paid half the cost of the bridge. James Daly was a butter merchant in the city.
The bridge spans 160 feet the River Lee from Sunday's Well.
It was built to the design of SW Farrington, City Engineer and was officially opened in April 1927.
