How to arrive at Blue Dolphin B&B Accommodation by car from Dublin (N8)
via Cork City Centre (N22). | |||

Our directions are from East of Cork City at the Dunkettle Interchange. Dunkettle Interchange is where the N8 from Dublin meets the N25 East (to Rosslare / Waterford) and the N25 South (to Cork Airport, Ringaskiddy Car Ferry & West Cork). Assuming you are on the N8 from Dublin, take the 3rd Exit at this Dunkettle Interchange again continuing on to the N8 Cork. At the next roundabout (Dunkettle Roundabout) take the 1st Exit, again continuing on the N8 Cork. Follow the Cork City Centre signs. Cork Harbour will be on your LHS. Follow the All Routes One Way System along Cork Harbour (Cork Harbour is still on your LHS). Stay in the middle lane until you pass by the 1st Bridge over the River Lee. At the 2nd Bridge (Brian Boru Bridge) Turn Left onto this Bridge & move over to the RHS lane (it's a steel bridge with a steel rectangular frame overhead). At the end of this bridge Turn Right (Cork City Centre Sign & N22). Pass on your LHS the "Cork Bus Station", "Dunnes Stores" & "Merchants Quay" Shopping Centre. Stay in the Left Lane and at the end of this Merchants Quay Shopping Centre (it's the long brown brick building on your LHS) Turn Left (you are now in St Patrick's Street). Proceed to the top of this street, as the street swings to the left notice on the RHS: "McDonalds", "Argos", "Centra" Supermarket. Beyond these stores, at the next lights, Turn Right ("Singer Sewing Centre" is on LHS corner and "Finn's Corner" is on RHS corner). You are now in "Washington Street" (also referred to as the N22). Going straight on you will shortly pass on your LHS: "the River Lee Hotel" and at the next traffic lights"UCC gates". After passing the River Lee Hotel move into the Centre Lane Go straight through these traffic lights on to again the N22. You are now on the Western Road (N22). Notice Blue Dolphin B&B on your RHS. There is set down car parking at the front of Blue Dolphin B&B Our main car park is situated at the back of Blue Dolphin B&B. Access to Blue Dolphin B&B Car Park is from the Mardyke Walk. |
